What Is NISOD?

NISOD is a consortium of community and technical colleges committed to promoting and celebrating excellence in teaching, learning, and leadership. NISOD has been serving members for more than 40 years through benefits that focus on the three Rs—resources, recognition, and relationships.

What Does a NISOD Membership Provide?

• More than 24 faculty-focused webinars each year.
• Bi-monthly issues of Innovation Abstracts, a publication written by practitioners for practitioners.
• On-demand access to a learning repository of 40+ years’ worth of webinars, publications, podcasts, and more.

Recognition

• The NISOD Excellence Awards provide member colleges with the opportunity to give national recognition to individuals for the extraordinary work they do to ensure student success.
• The Most Promising Places to Work in Community Colleges Award recognizes community and technical colleges’ exceptional commitments to diversity.
• NISOD’s Student Essay Contest and Student Graphic Design Contest provide the opportunity for students to showcase their personal journeys and talents while highlighting the impact individual faculty and staff have on their success.

Relationships

• Through their conferences, workshops, and webinars, NISOD members make connections and build relationships with others who are also doing this important work.
