NISOD is excited to announce the Financial Literacy Series! This complimentary webinar series explores the nexus between finance and our academic, personal, and professional lives. These webinars demystify topics such as insurance, retirement savings, and estate plans, while also examining financial issues through new and exciting lenses, such as the parallels between money and fitness and how psychology impacts the economies of our lives. Each webinar is facilitated by Glenn Kent, who works as a financial advisor with Ameriprise. He earned an associate degree while attending community college in Pennsylvania and continued his path in education, obtaining a PhD in psychology. In addition to financial advising, Glenn teaches at the community and state college levels in Virginia. With advanced education and training in psychology, Glenn appreciates the important role of emotions and behavior in successful financial planning and investing. Glenn is an exercise enthusiast and lives in the city of Roanoke with his wife and three children.
