NISOD and the Community College Baccalaureate Association Partner to Promote Baccalaureate Degrees at Community Colleges
Austin, Texas – July 3, 2020 –The Community College Baccalaureate Association (CCBA) and the National Institute for Staff and Organizational Development (NISOD) have partnered to promote better access to baccalaureate degrees on community college campuses. Community college baccalaureate (CCB) degrees are workforce focused and designed to meet today’s changing economy and labor market demands. Most CCBs are online and offer convenient, flexible options for adults entering the higher education system.
“We are excited to partner with the Community College Baccalaureate Association, an organization that aligns well with NISOD’s commitment to share resources that community and technical educators can use to enhance student success,” said Edward Leach, NISOD’s executive director. “It’s clear that an increasing number of community and technical colleges want to provide their students with convenient access to a bachelor’s degree. The CCBA serves as an outstanding resource for information about various models for accomplishing this purpose.”
