Bartlett Model of Engagement was quite interesting and technology strategies to engage learners is helpful to faculty.
I had never thought about how the student perceives the importance of the course for themselves or to those around them. We should consider including multiple ways for the students to access the course’s content.
Animoto, padlet, dotstorming… The Gap Analysis was interesting to determine what is used everyday on the job compared to what they were taught.
Jim Scogin, Math Instructor, ASLSPS, Augusta Tech
Good presentation. I can see how a GAP analysis would be very beneficial for a student in many areas of the courses that I teach. I can also see how a GAP analysis could help students improve their soft skills.
I have to strongly agree with the presenter’s comment about how instructors should never just add learning tools just to have them. The value of learning tools should always be measured by the level of the benefit that they provide to students.
Thank you.

The Webinar discussed how to connect your passion for teaching to mindful online course design that will make the course more meaningful for students.
Also many times incorporating Web-Conferencing tools will make the course more user friendly such as Webex, Zoom, Playposit, Animoto, Padlet, and Flipgrid can increase interest in the class.
