Why is Garden City Community College a NISOD Member?
GCCC places an investment and focus on professional development, and as such, we are always seeking ways to keep PD fresh and relevant. Through our membership with NISOD, we have been able to bring workshops to campus, keep learning at the forefront of what we do, and expand PD for staff and faculty.
Which NISOD benefits does Garden City Community College use the most and how?
We have hosted regional workshops each of the last two years, which has been a tremendous and cost-effective resource for training our faculty and providing a regional service for other colleges.

Garden City Community College has been named one of Student Loan Hero’s top 50 schools in the country for successful transfer from community college to four-year university.
GCCC Brings the Clinic to Students
A recent collaboration between Garden City Community College and St. Catherine Hospital provides GCCC students the opportunity to receive quality health care at an affordable price. The clinic offers access to college students with demanding schedules that leave them with little to no time to commute to and from a doctor’s office or sit in a waiting room before an appointment.

GCCC Boasts Top PN Program
A study from practicalnursing.org has named GCCC the number one practical nursing program in the state of Kansas. The study was based on student scores from the National Council Licensure Examination, a standardized test students take after graduating from an accredited program to receive their license.
