Community College Month Round Up

All month long, we have been celebrating Community College Month by sharing facts, statistics, and quotes about community and technical colleges, as well as highlighting the important ways our member colleges enrich and serve their communities. We’ve also published #NISODProfiles features every week in April to honor faculty and staff for their hard work and achievements on their campuses.

Below is a round up of the Community College Month content we’ve shared across our social media channels and in our member-only newsletter, NISODirect. If you aren’t subscribed to our media channels, be sure to follow us so you don’t miss our Community College Month campaign next year (and other interesting content and important updates between now and then!). You can also sign up for NISODirect if you’re an individual at a NISOD member college.

Finally, our most popular post during Community College Month asked our audience to tell us about their experiences with community or technical colleges in a six-word story. The responses were thoughtful and inspiring, and are each copied below.

Thank you so much to the faculty, staff, and administrators at community and technical colleges who support students’ success with their dedication and hard work. Community College Month is a small moment of recognition compared against the everyday commitment of educational leaders to providing opportunity and shaping students into the best versions of themselves they can be.
