Since 1995, PHSC has recognized almost 100 faculty members through NISOD’s Excellence Awards at the International Conference on Teaching and Leadership Excellence. Both faculty and staff enjoy the webinars, regional workshops, and the many publications available to members.

PHSC Launches College Experience Program for New Students
This fall, Pasco-Hernando State College launched a new college experience program for incoming students. This new experience is specifically designed to enhance students’ first year in college by providing assignments, activities, and events in four specific areas: problem solving, intellectual openness, time management, and persistence.
Chancellor for Innovation, Community Leaders Engaged Employers and Educators at PHSC Workforce Summit
In September, Chancellor for Innovation Eric Hall, Ed.D., Florida Department of Education, presented a keynote address at the inaugural Workforce Stakeholders’ Engagement Summit at Pasco-Hernando State College. Hall applauded PHSC’s efforts to engage stakeholders to more closely collaborate and share resources to benefit students, employers, and Hernando County.
PHSC Ranked Best LPN Program in Florida
Pasco-Hernando State College was recently ranked among the best Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) programs in Florida by NursingProcess.org. There are more than 160 LPN programs that are approved by the Florida Board of Nursing. Of the top 15 ranked programs, PHSC came in first.
PHSC Ranked Among the 2019 Best Online Colleges in Florida
Pasco-Hernando State College was among 18 schools the SR Education Group selected as the 2019 best online community colleges in Florida. Ranked 11th on the list, PHSC boasts accreditation from the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges. PHSC offers two online associate’s degrees, two online bachelor’s degrees, and five online certificate programs.
